Rieck and Crotty, P.C. was founded in 1980 by Thomas W. Rieck and Jerome F. Crotty. The firm has adopted a philosophy of remaining a small firm to preserve and maintain the quality of the firm's professional services and to ensure that those services are rendered to their clients on a timely and personal basis.

The firm offers a wide range of legal services, with its primary emphasis on corporate, securities and tax law matters, trusts and estate planning and administration, contract law, banking, real estate law and litigation arising in all such areas.

The firm's clients include public and large private corporations in the Chicago area. Further, representation of closely-held and family businesses, as well as banks, partnerships and individuals, constitutes a major part of its practice. General corporate representation, including but not limited to, corporate planning and control, employment relationships, ERISA matters and intellectual property rights, is a major part of the firm's business.

The corporate practice also includes such complex matters as the purchase, sale and merger of businesses, documentation of private placements of securities, loans and other financial transactions, ESOPs and shareholder and partnership agreements. The firm is regularly retained in connection with litigation relating to securities law, employment discrimination, real estate, decedents' estates, as well as contract, partnership and shareholders' disputes.

The members are dedicated to excellence in quality of the firm's work product and timeliness of service to its clients. They take pride in the firm's reputation in the business and legal communities and in the fine working relationships the firm enjoys with its clients.
